Advances in technology make oil rigs safer places to work. Nonetheless, having certificates and on the job training are essential. Oil rig workers must learn how to reduce the risk of death and injury when working on high platforms, handling combustible chemicals and operating heavy equipment
This project consissted of an equipment map indexing every piece of equipment to a hyperlink locator. There are also timed challenge exercises designed to sharpen skills at locating specific equipment quickly under stressfull situations.
New employees utlized SmartSite3Dâ„¢ to assist with onborading orientation on the rig.
